IT SECURITY / SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Omega Solutions provides customized technology services to clients in the health care, education, municipal and commercial sectors. We are looking for an experienced technician who is familiar installing, maintaining and supporting security, phone, low voltage and IP based services. This is a customer facing technical role that requires experience in multiple fields. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Support and maintain new and existing systems
- Able to provide remote and on-site troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues
- Manage or work in a small deployment teams
- Able to stage, configure and install core networks and hardware for all systems
- Able to assist the engineering team in the design an implementation of all systems
Some key technology verticals we provide solutions for are as follows:
- Telephone VoIP/POTS (Wireless and Hardwired)
- Nurse Call (inc. Patient Wandering)
- IPCCTV
- Access Control
- Intercom Systems
- Low Voltage Cabling
- Fire Monitoring Systems
Some core competencies we are looking for are below:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well organized and able to problem solve while multitasking
- Time management and the ability to meet project timelines
- Comprehension of electrical drawings and schematics
- Ability to travel when the job requires
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- CEDIA certifications or BCTQ security ticket
- COMPTIA A++
- Networking Diploma
- 3+ years working in managed services
- A valid and unobstructed Class 5 license and vehicle (a company vehicle is available for most jobs)
